HOW TO REACH ENEA - FRASCATI

The town of Frascati is located on the hillside 20 km SE of Rome. It is connected by train to the Central Station Roma-Termini, and by bus to the Metro Line A (Station Anagnina). The ENEA Research Center is located in Via E. Fermi 45, 2 Km from the main square Piazza Roma.

If you travel by air and arrive at Rome-Fiumicino International Airport you can reach Frascati using:

A) Public Transport

1. Go to the railway station located in front of the upper level of the terminal and take the non-stop train to the ROMA-TERMINI Station. Fare is L. 17.000 and tickets can be purchased at vending machines in the arrival hall and in the railway station at a ticket counter (open 7.00 to 13.55 and 14.15 to 21.00), at a tobacconist's and at vending machines. Departures are scheduled from 7.37 to 22.37 according to the given timetable. Make sure the final destination of your train is ROMA-TERMINI.
2. At TERMINI you will arrive at platform 25, which is displaced from the main platforms (see map). Allow for about 10 min. to find your platform for trains departing to Frascati. Tickets to Frascati cost L. 3200 and can be purchased at the ticket counter or at tobacconists and newspapers shops in the platforms hall (quicker). Trains depart with the given timetable.

B) Taxi

Taxi fares from Fiumicino Airport are about Lit. 60.000/70.000 to Roma-Termini and Lit. 120.000/140.000 to Frascati. WARNING: always use "official" white or yellow taxi with the "taxi" sign on the car to avoid any unnecessary surcharge.
If you arrive in the evening we suggest the use of a taxi.

C) Car rental

If you have rent a car at the Airport, here are the instructions to reach Frascati by car.

If you travel by air and arrive at Rome-Ciampino International Airport Roma-Ciampino is not the main airport, however it is closer to Frascati than the main one Roma-Fiumicino. The taxi fare from Ciampino to Frascati is in the range Lit. 60.000 to 100.000, depending on the traffic conditions. There is a bus service from Ciampino Airport to Ciampino railway station (10 min. ride), which is on the line Roma-Termini <==> Frascati.

If you travel by train and arrive at ROMA-TERMINI Station: Follow the instructions at point 2.

HOTEL RESERVATION

We have reserved several rooms at Hotel Giadrina-Cacciani in Frascati and at Hotel Verde Borgo out of town in the vicinity of the ENEA Center for Thursday night, February 22. We can reserve the rooms for you, in order to obtain the reduced rates.
