

EMILIO GIOVENALE was born born in
Rome, Italy, on July 14, 1964. He received the Ph.D degree in Physics
from the University of Rome, La
Sapienza, in 1988. His dissertation concerned the physics of
color centers and the realization of a tunable color center laser.
Since 1990 he is an ENEA researcher and since 1992 he has been a
Staff Member of the FEL Laboratory at the ENEA Center of Frascati,
Italy. His current general area of interest and research include the
development of compact far infrared Free Electron Lasers and Color
Center Lasers.
He currently has obtained a contract as Professor at the
3rd University of
Rome, teaching about laser experimental techniques in the
framework of the "Experimental Physics II" course. His competences
include informatics. He is interested in internet applications and is
expert in HTML language and in the design and realization of web
pages.
