08/07/2002 The
engineering section has been extended by adding information on the C-clamp
system, diagnostics, neutrons and the RF antenna.
30/01/2002 In
the page "physics" we have added references to published papers where one
can find a description of discharge simulations with JETTO, together with
the time evolution of density and temperature profiles and other plasma
parameters. In the same page we have added slides from a recent presentation
on IGNITOR by F. Bombarda. More material will be added in the near future.

The WWW site has been completely redisigned: the home page is now
simply a "welcome" image of the tokamak IGNITOR, by clicking on the
image it is possible to get the table of the main geometrical & plasma
parameters of the machine. The page Project has been written to evidentiate
the main features of the experiment. A table of plasma parameters at ignition
is reported. Links to other burning plasma experiments are kept there.
In the page "physics" one can find improved figures of the scenarios
of operation plus the time evolution of the plasma parameters in the main
scenario (11MA, 13T) up to the ignition. We intend to place in "physics"
links to papers published by the group and presented at conferences.
On the page "Engineering" one can find the link to presentations on key
engineering features and issues. The "plasma chamber" slides show
has been improved by adding a description of each slide in the menu. Finally
the list of people working on IGNITOR at ENEA has been updated and E-mail
addresses have been linked. In the news page we shall keep track of changes,
improvements and document added to the WWW IGNITOR page.
